Georgetown University, School of Foreign Service in Qatar is holding its annual conference during the period from March 20 – 21, 2016
The conference Writing Women’s Lives aims at encouraging a new area of research on women’s studies; an area that sheds more light on lived realities, achievements, roles and everyday challenges that women face and overcome. We call on activists, scholars, academics and dedicated researched from all over the world to rethink and redefine role of women in different contexts. The conference will build on the legacy and success of its inaugural conference on “Arab Women Past and Present: Participation and Democratization” in 2006. This time, the focus will be on the lived realities of women, from deep transformations with global changes in culture and technology to challenges they face and meet in everyday life.
More details on themes and abstract submission can be found in the attached the call for papers.
